Who is strongest avenger

Captain Marvel is so powerful that her origin story film was strategically positioned in between Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame as to not disrupt the logic of the films.

Had Captain Marvel been a part of the crew who went toe-to-toe with Thanos on Titan, they would've been able to defeat him regardless of Peter Quill's Chris Pratt shortsighted antics, as evidenced by her borderline domination of a fully-loaded Infinity Gauntlet-wielding Thanos.

On its surface, the ability to shrink and expand isn't all that threatening, especially when compared to the abilities of ancient gods and otherworldly aliens.

But when taking into account the quantum abilities that come with the Ant-Man suit, the stronger Scott Lang's Paul Rudd case becomes. Similar to Doctor Strange don't worry, we'll get to him later , Ant-Man's powers simply exist in a different realm than that of Iron Man, Captain America, Spider-Man, and even the likes of Thor and Captain Marvel, The proof is in the MCU itself, as marketing material for Spider-Man: No Way Home has shown that Doctor Strange is going to be giving Peter some sort of mystically-powered gear known as the "Integrated Suit," and also within fan culture subconsciously or otherwise , as a common joke in the lead-up to Avengers: Infinity War was "Why doesn't Ant-Man just crawl inside Thanos and, well, expand?

What this indicates is that, despite his significant physical strength, there are certain realms and power sets that the more combat-based beings simply can't compete with. It's the reason why they aren't sending Bruce Banner to deal with a newly rogue Wanda Maximoff. That is the core nature of the argument for Ant-Man: whether it's being too big or too small, messing with quantum physics or the quantum realm, the scientific dynamic of Ant-Man's skills is far too complex of a problem for most Avengers to solve.

This technology, after all, was the key component in the Avengers being able to undo Thanos' snap: if that same technology was applied in a weaponized manner instead of a scientific one which we'll certainly learn more about when he takes on Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania , there's no telling what the limits of Ant-Man's time-traveling abilities are. In the same way that Doctor Strange will be key to combating the mystical and multiversal threats set to reign down upon the MCU, Ant-Man will likely be key in their stand against Kang, not only making him one of the most powerful, but one of the most important.

While ranking the Sorcerer Supreme above both Captain Marvel and Thor may cause some to double-take, the Marvel Cinematic Universe itself has already given an example of how helpless the brute of Thor's strength is when leveled against the more magical, mental elements of Doctor Strange's skill set when the pair briefly cross paths in Thor: Ragnarok. Granted, while Thor isn't engaged in combat whatsoever, Doctor Strange is in such utter control of the situation and Loki, for that matter, as he sent him to the purgatory of endless freefall that you wonder what Thor would even be able to do about it if he did decide to take Strange on.

No amount of lightning bolts or hammer swings could defeat a being like Dormammu, let alone the man who outsmarted it. With multiversal madness now truly on the horizon of the MCU, Strange's abilities are going to become more important, and likely more powerful, than ever. Here's perhaps the best summation of Scarlet Witch's current standing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe: while whether or not she's still an Avenger is currently up for debate given her somewhat villainous turn in WandaVision , her status as the most powerful of Earth's Mightiest Heroes is not.

In theory, Vision should be one of the most powerful Avengers: He had the freaking Mind Stone embedded in his forehead. But it's clear that Vision never tapped into the stone's true power — possibly because he knew what kind of destruction and horror that could cause.

He even admitted that he didn't understand the stone and that it controlled him more than he controlled it. He was also meant to be the smartest and certainly the most righteous Avenger.

He was even able to wield Thor's hammer in "Age of Ultron. He was absolutely useless in "Infinity War" and managed to survive only with Wanda's help. One measly stab through the synthetic gut, and he was down for the count! As he was being destroyed by Thanos, Vision didn't even put up a fight. It's unclear whether Vision will return to form after the events of "WandaVision," or whether his reassembled body will be as powerful without the Mind Stone.

We'll have to see how he copes with his "directives" after getting his memories back. Abilities: Hulk, Bruce Banner's rage-fueled alter ego, was created by Bruce's version of the super-soldier serum and a huge blast of gamma radiation. His main power is his remarkable, untiring strength. Plus, Hulk is basically immortal, and Bruce himself is a genius.

Hulk has traditionally been seen as the strongest Avenger physically — and for good reason, though he's been subdued by both Iron Man and Thor. Then he got wrecked in "Infinity War," and we haven't seen him fight since. Now that Bruce has managed to merge his mind with Hulk's body, he seems thoroughly disinterested in fighting. The Hulk body is still wildly strong and nearly indestructible, but Bruce no longer has Hulk's ferocity, and after "Endgame," it looks like he'll only have one working arm.

He has superhuman strength, speed, durability, agility, stamina, healing, and reflexes. T'Challa is also a master martial artist and tactician. His Black Panther suit is weaved with nearly indestructible vibranium that can absorb kinetic energy, such as blasts or punches, and repurpose it as a counterattack.

Black Panther's strength and enhanced abilities are on par with those granted by Captain America's super-soldier serum. His fighting style is graceful and acrobatic, setting him apart from many of our other heroes — as does his quiet, intense resilience.

Even when he was caught off guard without his suit in "Civil War," he was essentially equal to Winter Soldier in hand-to-hand combat.

With the energy-absorbing suit that made its debut in "Black Panther," he's nearly invulnerable. Abilities: When Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactive spider, he gained the proportionate strength of a spider — making him considerably stronger, faster, more durable, and more agile than the average man.

He also has enhanced senses that give him incredible battle instincts, allowing him to dodge and counter incoming attacks more effectively. Plus, you know, he can shoot webs from his hands and climb up walls. Peter Parker is also far more intelligent than the average teenager. His peers tend to see him as the smartest in his competitive honors school, and he has essentially been crowned Tony Stark's heir apparent. Power scale: 8. He even held his own against Captain America though Cap was clearly holding back.

It's true that he's still young and relatively inexperienced. In "Infinity War," he was easily smacked down by Thanos and was even restrained by Star-Lord, somehow.

But that began to shift in "Endgame. Spider-Man has become a fully fledged Avenger — especially now that he has near-unlimited access to supersuits and weaponry designed by Tony. He's one of very few characters who can actually understand and build these designs, which means he'll only get more dangerous.

Abilities: Doctor Strange is a Master of the Mystic Arts, a sorcerer sworn to defend the fabric of reality. He has deep stores of magic — drawn from harnessing energy drawn from other dimensions of the Multiverse — and can bend aspects of space and time.

Previously, he could use the Time Stone to rewind events or see possible futures. Power scale: 9. The nature of the mystic arts does put Strange at a slight disadvantage because he needs to move his arms and hands to access his power — which is how Ebony Maw was able to capture him in "Infinity War.

So we don't know how Strange would have fared in that fight if he hadn't seen his own death occur in advance, but we do know that without him, Tony and the Guardians wouldn't have stood a chance. In "Endgame," Strange mostly focused on practical damage control, so we didn't see him face off with Thanos again. But we did see that he can teleport whole armies from across the galaxy, so that's a huge plus. It's unclear how much power Strange will lose now that he can't wield the physical Time Stone.

But hey, he's still pretty damn powerful. Other Masters have noted that Strange seems born for the mystic arts and, according to the Ancient One, Strange is destined to be "the best of us. Abilities: Tony Stark's so-called powers all came from his genius-level intelligence.

He built the first Iron Man suit while held captive by a terrorist group in a cave in Afghanistan. Over the following years, he constantly rebuilt and improved his Iron Man technology, eventually harnessing nanotech to create an extremely durable suit with powerful weapons.

Iron Man was the only Avenger able to injure Thanos in "Infinity War" until Thor nearly killed him , and he did it when Thanos had already collected four Infinity Stones. He was also the only person Thanos knew by name, which is evidence of Iron Man's fearsome reputation. Iron Man was able to outsmart Thanos in the most important possible moment and briefly wield the power of all six Infinity Stones, which previously seemed as if it should be impossible for a regular human body to withstand.

It gave him an ideal physical form, making Rogers indefinitely fitter, stronger, and more durable than any other human. He has enhanced senses, and his body heals itself ridiculously quickly. Captain America typically wields a shield made of vibranium, though we've seen him easily master every other weapon he's laid his hands on — including Thor's hammer, Mjolnir. He's the only known human who's been able to lift it, since, according to Thor, it would cause any other person's body and mind to collapse simultaneously.

Power scale: Captain America was in a position to kill Iron Man in "Civil War," which puts him higher on our ranking. He has consistently defeated opponents with flashier powers and is probably unbeatable in close hand-to-hand combat barring an opponent with otherworldly powers. Plus, as we know from his famous catchphrase, his sheer will and determination make him an invaluable Avenger. He literally never gives up. Abilities: Members of the Asgardian royal family are not actual gods, per se — but they're as close to gods as you can get.

Thor is ridiculously powerful, such that only his father and older sister both dead would surpass his strength. He's not immortal, but he's close to invulnerable, considering he endured the full force of a star and survived. Thor is most powerful when he can channel his powers through an enchanted, loyal weapon forged on Nidavellir, like the hammer, Mjolnir, or the ax, Stormbreaker. But as the God of Thunder, he can also summon and harness pure lightning. Thor is so powerful that filmmakers are constantly looking for ways to handicap him.

In "Ragnarok," they destroyed his hammer. In "Infinity War," they took him out of the picture for most of the action — and when they put him back in, a suitable weapon in his hands, he was mere moments away from killing Thanos. In "Endgame," they gave him severe symptoms of alcoholism and depression , undermining his ability to fight effectively. If Thor were at peak potential during most of the Avengers' battles, they probably wouldn't have lasted very long.

In fact, he didn't even discover his true potential as the God of Thunder until "Ragnarok. Abilities: Although she was born on Earth as a regular human, Carol Danvers absorbed the power of the Tesseract, which housed the Space Stone. She was granted superhuman strength, speed, and flight. She can emit extremely powerful photon blasters from her fists. Additionally, she was made into a Kree-human hybrid after the Kree soldier Yon-Rogg gave her blood transfusions.

The Kree are naturally stronger and more durable than humans. Thanks to her time with the Kree Starforce, Captain Marvel is also highly trained in combat. He was right. Years of playing second fiddle to her sister only increased her desire to improve her skills and hone her craft. Hear us out! This alone almost takes out Thanos! She is a force to be reckoned with, and anyone that underestimates her because of her innocent appearance should beware.

She is able to take all of them out in the first film, and she nearly chops Groot into pieces. While her sister is an incredible fighter, Gamora always manages to come out on top.

Her race gives her superhuman strength, and she can heal faster than most individuals. Gamora is also the only thing that Thanos loves which makes her his only weakness.

Unfortunately, this leads to her untimely death as Thanos needs to sacrifice something he loves in order to gain the Soul Stone. Black Widow is up here with all the others, but hear us out!

Black Widow is amazing. In fact, any situation she is put in you can guarantee that she will find a way to get out of. She is arguably the most well-trained assassin the universe has to offer, and she goes out on HER terms. We are really splitting hairs at this point, so with all of that being said, Black Widow is only human. Her incredible skill can only do so much against a force like Thanos. Hope Pym was training Scott to become Ant-Man before Scott even knew anything about what the heck was going on.

The Wasp has wings and blasters which some may argue puts her above Ant-Man…but Ant-Man wins this race for one reason and one reason alone. Ant-Man had to follow! He can essentially go anywhere and do anything without ever being seen. He also has the ability to grow into a giant which is often overlooked! Ant-Man and Wasp go hand in hand, but Ant-Man really gains points for being the Avenger to discover the quantum realm.

He makes the mistakes that any young person would and often does not consider the consequences of his actions. That being said, his powers are incredible as he can spin a trap for enemies and swing from building to building with very little effort. His spidey senses give him a sixth sense which alerts him whenever danger is nearby. With a bit more training, Spider-Man would be one of the top on this list. Remember, Bucky got the same super-soldier treatment as Steve.

On top of that, while Steve was frozen in the ice for 70 years, Bucky was training. Of course, Captain America is next! Black Panther has genius-level intellect as well as superhuman strength, speed, and reflexes… oh and really sharp claws.

Hats off to the man that brought this character to life. Rest in power. The man, the myth, the legend. Iron Man started it all at least for the MCU. It also contains missile projection and regenerative abilities. This suit makes Tony indestructible, and the best part about it is that he made it himself. Without Tony Stark, there would be no hope after the snap. Many may consider him to be the most powerful of all the Avengers, which is a fair assumption.

He is the one to ultimately defeat the big bad, after all. But a few other heroes give him a run for his money due to their sheer power which cannot be matched. Created by Tony Stark, Vision is a walking computer with a wealth of knowledge and multiple superhuman abilities. Vision can solve any problem in a matter of seconds. Vision can shoot beams of energy straight from his head using the mind stone which also makes him virtually indestructible… unless, of course, someone like Thanos comes along and pulls the stone out of his head.

While Dr. Strange can shift time and dimensions at free will. He has the abilities of flight, teleportation, astral projection, and so much more. His individual battle against Thanos in Endgame is one of the strongest fights an Avenger has against the big bad. Strange saw that there was only one outcome for the Avengers to win and puts them on this path, even though it meant the snap would need to occur.

Without Dr. We know we put Drax last because his only power was brute strength, but The Hulk has a lot more to offer! For starters, he is a LOT stronger than Drax, has a fast healing factor, and can go without water or sleep if needed. Behind the big green guy is Bruce Banner. Bruce is one of the smartest Avengers and eventually is able to become one and the same with Hulk.

Yeah…Thor is a literal god. Need we say more? In Infinity War , we see Thor take on the full force of the sun. Oh…and did we mention he is immortal and has the ability to control lightning?

Even Kevin Feige himself has stated that Captain Marvel is the strongest of the Avengers, and if we were looking at the comics, she would definitely be on top. Many fans were a little disappointed as there was a lot of build-up for her character, only for her to be flung back into the sky from whence she came. Scarlet Witch is the most powerful Avenger. We will shout this from the rooftops if we have to! With the power of telekinesis, she can move anything and we mean anything by the wave of a hand.

Her individual fight with Thanos in the MCU showcased the most power out of any of the Avengers by far. She then puts Thanos in a position to call for backup, something that he had not yet done and knew would kill many of his own troops. She can warp reality and is able to put all of the Avengers in a dream-like state when she is first introduced.

The best part about her? Wanda is still discovering her power. She has showcased so much power, yet most of it is still contained inside of her.
